Early Life and CareerMary Whipple, an American rower, was born on May 10, 1980, in Sacramento, California. She is one of the top American athletes in the sport of rowing. Whipple began her sports career in elementary school when her mother enrolled her and her twin sister, Sarah, in a rowing club.
