Early Life and CareerMary Whipple, an American rower, was born on May 10, 1980, in Sacramento, California. She is one of the top American athletes in the sport of rowing. Whipple began her sports career in elementary school when her mother enrolled her and her twin sister, Sarah, in a rowing club. Initially disappointed with her role as a coxswain, Whipple eventually understood the importance of her position in guiding the team and embraced the responsibility.
During their school years, Whipple and her sister participated in various competitions and championships, displaying their passion for rowing.
