Biography of Mariyana Tsaregradskaya
Early Years and CareerMariyana Tsaregradskaya dreamed of becoming a ballerina in her childhood. She was a diligent student and excelled in her studies. She graduated from a choreographic school but couldn't pursue her dream due to her physical attributes. Instead, she decided to become an actress and enrolled in the GITIS theater school in Moscow. During her exams in Moscow, she met her future husband, who came from an intellectual family.
Marriage and Challenges
They got married soon after their meeting, but Mariyana quickly realized the cultural differences between them. Her husband came from a Muslim background, and their different mentalities caused conflicts in their relationship. Despite their wealth and love, Mariyana felt isolated in her husband's family during a New Year celebration. This experience made her question her decision to marry him.
Acting Career and Tragic Accident
In 1994, Mariyana was cast in the lead role of investigator Lisa in the film "Scientific Section of Pilots." During the filming, she met Andrei Petrovich Vavilov, the deputy finance minister. Despite the significant age difference and his marital status, Vavilov fell in love with Mariyana and began courting her. However, Mariyana didn't want to become his mistress and made it clear that she would only be with him as his wife.
Meanwhile, Mariyana's relationship with her husband became strained, and she faced a life-changing accident. On December 4, 1994, Mariyana, driving her new car gifted by Vavilov, had a horrific accident resulting in multiple fractures and a severe head injury. Vavilov, upon learning of the accident, organized the search for the best surgeons and ensured Mariyana received the necessary medical treatment. His dedication and love for her deeply touched Mariyana.
Second Marriage and New Beginnings
During her recovery, Mariyana realized the depth of Andrei's love and commitment. Just before her surgery, Vavilov had already filed for divorce from his wife and proposed to Mariyana. On December 27, 1994, they got married. Mariyana emerged from the hospital as a changed person and rebelled against the lavish lifestyle Vavilov provided, adopting a hippie style and challenging everyone around her.
Despite leaving GITIS, Mariyana continued her acting education at the State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). She then joined the Lenkom Theater and performed in the play "Cruel Games." In the early 2000s, Mariyana appeared in Svetlana Druzhinina's historical series "Secrets of Palace Coups" as Ekaterina Dolgorukaya.
Personal Life and Current Endeavors
Mariyana and Andrei's marriage faced difficulties in the late 1990s due to Mariyana's isolation during their early years together. She met someone else and decided to divorce Andrei, but he fought to win her back. With large billboards displaying Mariyana's photo throughout Moscow, Andrei demonstrated his love for her. Eventually, Mariyana couldn't resist and reached out to him. They reconciled, and in March 2005, they welcomed their daughter, Goya-Vivienne.
Currently, Mariyana resides abroad and promotes exclusive jewelry. In recent years, she has focused more on her personal life and family while continuing to work in the entertainment industry.
