Early Life and Influences
Massimiliano Adelmo Giorgini, known professionally as Mass Giorgini, was born on May 22, 1968, in to renowned Italian artist Aldo Giorgini. Influenced by his father, Mass developed a passion for music from a young age.
Musical Career
Mass Giorgini rose to prominence as a bassist and vocalist for various punk rock bands, including Screeching Weasel, Common Rider, Squirtgun, Rattail Grenadier, The Mopes, Torture the Artist, and Sweet Black and Blue. He also showcased his songwriting skills, primarily for his band Squirtgun.
Squirtgun and Pop-Punk Fame
During the mid-1990s pop-punk boom, Mass Giorgini founded the band Squirtgun. Their music became popular and was featured on MTV and soundtracks of notable 90s films such as "Mallrats" and "Bubble Boy."
Production Work
Giorgini's contributions extended beyond his musical performances, as he established himself as a renowned record producer. He worked with major artists like Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and Kris Roe of The Ataris. Additionally, he produced albums for bands such as Rise Against, Anti-Flag, and Alkaline Trio.
