Matt Dallas is an American actor, best known for his lead role in the ABC Family cable network series "Kyle XY." He was born in Phoenix, Arizona and attended the Arizona School of the Arts for some time. At the age of 12, when his grandmother took him to see a production of "The Ugly Duckling," he decided he wanted to become an actor. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles, California.
Career
Dallas has appeared in several films, including "Babysitter Wanted" and portrayed Kyle in the series "Kyle XY." He has also appeared in movies such as "Living the Dream," "Wannabis," "Camp Slaughter," and "The Vampire's Assistant." He made a guest appearance in the series "Beauty and the Beast."
In 2004, he appeared in the music video for the song "Geek Love" by the band Fan 3, and in 2005, he appeared in James Blunt's "Goodbye My Lover" alongside Mischa Barton. In 2008, he appeared in the music video for Katy Perry's "Thinking of You." In 2009, he appeared in the music video for Duffy's song "Mercy."
Personal Life
On January 7, 2013, Dallas made a post on his Twitter account announcing his engagement to Blue Hamilton. The post was accompanied by a picture of Hamilton with their beloved dog. This marked the first time Dallas publicly acknowledged his homosexuality and revealed his engagement. Blue Hamilton is a singer and songwriter from California, and they have been in a relationship since 2009. On July 6, 2015, shortly after the legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States, Dallas posted a photo on his Instagram account with Hamilton, captioned "Meet Mr. and Mr. Dallas." The photo showed the couple holding their marriage certificate. In December 2015, the couple adopted a two-year-old boy named Crow Dallas Hamilton (born in 2013).
