Maud Solveig Kristina Wikström was born on February 12, 1945, to Gustav and Tyra Wikström. With her mother as a tax inspector and her father as a financial auditor, she grew up in a stable household. In 1963, her photograph was submitted to a beauty pageant held by the magazine "Allers." Adams emerged as the victor, propelling her into a successful modeling career.

International Modeling Career

After winning the beauty pageant, Adams joined the Ford Modeling Agency and relocated to Paris and then New York. During this period, she became one of the highest-paid and most sought-after models globally.

Transition to Film

Adams' transition to film began in 1970 with a role as a fashion model in the movie "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight."
