Childhood and Early Life
On September 29, 1987, Maxene Eigenmann was born to actor Mark Gil and former beauty queen turned actress Bing Pimentel in Paranaque City. Raised in a family with numerous relatives in acting, including her grandfather Eddie Mesa, grandmother Rosemary Gil, uncle Michael de Mesa, aunt Cherie Gil, brother Sid Lucero, half-siblings Gabby and Andi Eigenmann, and cousins Ryan and Jeff Eigenmann. Throughout her childhood, acting was rarely discussed. This relative detachment from the family business may have contributed to Eigenmann's eventual success in the industry.
Career and Accomplishments
Eigenmann first appeared on Philippine television, notably in the soap opera "May Bukas Pa" (121 episodes), before making her full-length film debut in the drama "Romeo + Juliet", earning her a Golden Screen Award nomination. Years later, she won a Cine Filipino Film Festival award for "Ned's Project." Her portrayal in "12 Weeks" garnered her accolades from the Film Academy of the Philippines, Young Critics Circle, Cinema One Originals Film Festival, Gawad Urian, and Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards. Eigenmann also received the ASEAN International Film Festival Award for "Cargo" and the Asia Pacific Screen Award for "Verdict."
Personal Life
Maxene Eigenmann has had several long-term relationships, including one with businessman Norman Crisologo, with whom she had two sons, Sandro Assad (born April 2006) and Massimo (born May 2011). She has since been in a relationship with musician and DJ Anthony Santiago for several years.
Recent Projects
In March 2024, Maxene Eigenmann starred in the British horror film "The Banishing," which had previously received multiple awards. She has recently focused on television series, including "To Love and to Leave" (2023), "Take Out My Darling" (2022), and "Forever" (2023).
