Biography of Maxim Bogdasarov

Maxim Bogdasarov is a renowned geologist and mineralogist, an associate professor, and the head of the Department of Geography and Nature Management at A.S. Pushkin Brest State University. He obtained his degree in Natural Sciences from A.S. Pushkin Brest State Pedagogical Institute in 1995. He further pursued his studies and completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 1998. In 2008, he successfully completed his doctoral studies at the Belarusian Scientific and Research Geological Exploration Institute.

Academic Achievements

Maxim Bogdasarov received his Ph.D. in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences by the decision of the Council for the Defense of Dissertations D 01.22.01 at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on October 23, 1998. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Geology by the resolution of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus on June 25, 2003, number 32Ц. In addition, he earned his Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences degree by the resolution of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus on October 21, 2009, number 29Д.

Professional Contributions

Maxim Bogdasarov has made significant contributions to the field of geology and mineralogy of fossil resins, biomineralogy, and medical geology. He has authored 180 scientific works, including monographs such as "Amber from Anthropogenic Deposits of Belarus" (2001), "Fossil Resins of Belarus" (2003), "Fossil Resins of Northern Eurasia" (2005), and "Amber and Other Fossil Resins of Eurasia" (2010). He has also published over 70 articles in journals and collections.

Maxim Bogdasarov is an active member of the Belarusian Geographical Society since 1995. He has been recognized for his outstanding research and received the Young Scientists Award from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2005. He has also been a recipient of the President of the Republic of Belarus Scholarship in 1999 and 2011.

Since 2007, Maxim Bogdasarov has been serving as the head of the regional division for the Republic of Belarus of the International Medical Geology Association. His expertise and knowledge have made him a leading authority in his field, and his research has contributed greatly to the understanding of geological and mineralogical aspects related to fossil resins, biomineralogy, and medical geology.
