Early Life and Education
Максим Shishko was born on February 1, 1989, in the village of Zdomyshel, Ukraine. He moved to Ostromech, Belarus, in 1999 and graduated from the local school. Shishko went on to study solo academic singing at the G. R. Shirma Brest State College of Music.
After graduating, Shishko pursued a degree in acting at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in Minsk, graduating in 2014. He studied under the tutelage of Zoya Belokhvostik, a renowned Belarusian actress.
Theatre Career
Upon graduating, Shishko joined the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama, where he remained until 2020. He performed in over 30 diverse roles, primarily in contemporary plays by Belarusian playwrights such as Dmitry Bogoslavsky, Nikolai Matukovsky, Victor Martynovich, and Sergey Rubbe.
Film Career
Alongside his theatre work, Shishko has appeared in films. His debut came with a minor role in the crime drama "Vow to Protect" in 2010. His breakthrough role came in the 2023 miniseries "Half an Hour to Spring," where he portrayed Vladimir Nikolaev, the "godfather" of the iconic hit song "Vologda."
Personal Life
Shishko is married to Maria Petrovich, a fellow actress. They live in Warsaw, Poland, with their rescued dog, Pol. Shishko maintains an active presence on social media.
