Meseda Bagaudinova: From VKontakte to V.I.A. Gra

Childhood and Education

Born in Grozny to an Avar father and Ukrainian-Belarusian mother, Meseda Bagaudinova spent her early years in Kislovodsk. Despite her musical ambitions, a lack of formal training led her to pursue a degree in culture at Rostov-on-Don's College of Arts. She graduated with a focus on jazz vocal.

Rising Star in the Southern Scene

Meseda's talent soon found an outlet in Rostov's popular band "Mechty." She gained further recognition after joining the band in 2002, which performed extensively in southern Russia and even ventured into Austria. It was during this period that she met Tatiana Kotova, the future winner of "Miss Russia 2006" and fellow member of V.I.A. Gra.

Entry into V.I.A. Gra

In 2007, Meseda's dream of a major music career came true when she successfully auditioned for V.I.A. Gra, replacing the outgoing Olga Koriagina. Her first performance with the group took place in London at the Russian Economic Forum. The wider public was introduced to her at the Muz-TV Awards on June 1, 2007.

Success and Departure

Meseda's time in V.I.A. Gra was marked by a series of accomplishments. The group released two albums, "Potsyluy" and "Emancipation," and starred in four music videos and the television series "Hold Me Tighter." However, in January 2009, she made the difficult decision to leave the band due to the return of founding member Nadezhda Granovskaya.

Solo Career

Since her departure from V.I.A. Gra, Meseda has embarked on a solo career. She has expressed excitement about exploring new musical possibilities and showcasing her talents as an independent artist.
