Early Life and Career Beginnings

Chidi Odiah was born in Nigeria, where he developed his passion for football. He honed his skills at a young age in his home country before embarking on a professional career abroad.

Stints in Europe

Chidi's first European club was Beroy from Bulgaria's Stara Zagora. He made a strong impression during his time there, scoring 3 goals in just 5 matches. In 2004, he moved to FC Volyn Lutsk in Ukraine. He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut on March 1, 2005, as a substitute in a 3-0 win over FC Zakarpattia.

Rise in Ukraine

In July 2008, Chidi signed a four-year contract with FC Metalurh Zaporizhzhya. He debuted on July 19 in a 0-1 loss to FC Kryvbas. His first goal for the club came on August 31 in a 2-2 draw with FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Move to Sevastopol

In January 2011, Chidi joined FC Sevastopol, where he signed a 3.5-year contract. He made significant contributions to the club during his time there.

International Recognition

Chidi received a call-up to the Nigerian national team in December 2007 but did not make an appearance.

Family and Legacy

Off the field, Chidi has a close family, including three brothers and a sister. His father passed away in 2008. The family owns a restaurant, where they proudly display his Metalurh Zaporizhzhya jersey and a Cossack's mace.
