Konstantin Konstantinovich Gottlieb was a celebrated Soviet composer, pianist, and music educator.
Early Life and Education
Born in Moscow, Gottlieb commenced his musical journey at Moscow Conservatory under the guidance of the renowned Konstantin Igumnov, completing his piano studies from 1924 to 1930.
Career in Education
From 1932 to 1938, Gottlieb imparted his knowledge as a piano instructor at the Music Technical School affiliated with Moscow Conservatory. Subsequently, he joined the military faculty of the conservatory, where he served as a lecturer from 1938, associate professor from 1942, and professor from 1971. In 1949, this faculty evolved into the Institute of Military Conductors, and later in 1960 became the Military Conductor Faculty of the conservatory.
Musical Partnership
Beginning in 1927, Gottlieb formed a renowned piano duo with his brother, Adolf Gottlieb. Their performances showcased their exceptional skill and musicality.
