Born in London, England, in 1974, Michael Morris honed his directing skills at London's Old Vic Theatre from 1999 to 2002. His breakthrough came with "Brothers & Sisters," a dramatic television series where he served as executive producer and director for five seasons from 2006 to 2011.

Tesla Fire Incident

In June 2018, Morris' wife, Mary McCormack, tweeted that her husband's Tesla had spontaneously caught fire while driving through Hollywood. "No accident. Out of the blue on Santa Monica Blvd," McCormack reported, "Thank you to the kind couple who beeped and told Michael to pull over."

No one was injured in the incident. Tesla officials stated that they would investigate the "extremely unusual event." Tesla claims that the likelihood of an electric vehicle catching fire is much lower than that of a fuel-based car. McCormack also noted that "By some grace none of our 3 girls were in the car with my husband." Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

McCormack later clarified on Twitter that "the car was not on autopilot or anything like that. It was a normal Tesla." A Tesla representative told ABC News, "We are providing support to local authorities and are thankful that our customer was not injured. This is an extremely unusual event, and we are investigating this incident to determine the cause."
