Biography of Michael York
Michael York, born Michael York-Johnson, is a British actor who has had a successful career spanning over thirty years. He was born in Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, in the United Kingdom. York graduated from University College, Oxford in 1964 and studied at the National Youth Theatre.
Early Career
York's acting career began on the London stage in Franco Zeffirelli's production of "Much Ado About Nothing" in 1965. He made his film debut in Zeffirelli's "The Taming of the Shrew" in 1967.

As a film actor, Michael York is best known for his roles in "Cabaret" (1972) alongside Liza Minnelli, "Murder on the Orient Express" (1974), and "The Three Musketeers" (1974), where he played the role of D'Artagnan.
