Early Collaborations and Breakthrough

Berger's career took off in the early 1970s. He played a pivotal role in the production of the first two albums of acclaimed singer Véronique Sanson, with whom he had a romantic relationship. In 1973, his production and songwriting talents contributed to the success of Françoise Hardy's album "Message personnel," which featured the hit single of the same name.

Solo Career and Marriage

Inspired by his separation from Sanson, Berger embarked on a solo career in 1973, releasing his debut album, "C?ur brisé." In 1974, he met and became the producer and later husband of singer France Gall. Together, they became a formidable force in French music.
