Michelle Keegan, an English actress, was born on June 3, 1987, in Stockport, Greater Manchester. Her parents divorced when she was thirteen, and she continued to live with her mother and stepfather. She attributes her "exotic" appearance to her grandmother, who is Spanish from Gibraltar.

Education and Early Career

Keegan attended St Patrick's RC High School in Salford and later studied at the Manchester School of Acting. Before pursuing acting full-time, she worked at the Trafford Centre, a shopping mall, and as a registration agent at Manchester Airport. Keegan landed a minor role in the science fiction series "Red Dwarf: Back to Earth."
