Early Life and Film Debut

Born in Waukegan, Illinois, to parents of German heritage, Kun began his acting career on the silver screen as a young infant in 1934.

Rise to Fame

Kun's breakthrough roles came in 1939, with acclaimed performances in "Juarez" and the iconic "Gone with the Wind."

Film Career

Over the course of his career, Kun appeared in nearly three dozen films, including "Dick Tracy" (1945), "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" (1946), and "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951).

Military Service and Transition

In 1951, Kun joined the United States Navy, serving for four years. After his honorable discharge, he returned to acting in 1957 with three episodes of the television series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents."

Later Career

Following the conclusion of his acting career, Kun worked for American Airlines from 1965 to 1995.
