Early Life and Career Beginnings
Taras Kozak was born in Lviv, Ukraine, and began his football journey at the age of six with local club FC Karpaty Lviv under the guidance of coach Oleg Kolobych. He later honed his skills at DYuFSh Vodokanal Lviv before joining the youth team of FC Lviv in 2008.
Professional Debut and Rise to the Premier League
Kozak made his professional debut on March 18, 2008, in the First League match against Volyn Lutsk. In the 2007/08 season, FC Lviv secured second place behind Illichivets Mariupol, earning promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League.
On February 28, 2009, Kozak made his Premier League debut in the match against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. However, FC Lviv was relegated back to the First League at the end of the season, and Kozak made only four Premier League appearances.
Loan Spell at Stal Alchevsk
In July 2012, Kozak joined FC Stal Alchevsk on loan, where he played 15 matches and scored 1 goal in the Ukrainian First League.
International Career
In 2009, Kozak represented Ukraine's under-18 national team in eight matches.
