Early Life and Education

Mykhaylo Nikolayovych Bodnarchuk was born on January 7, 1951, in the village of Tisov, Doliansky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukrainian SSR. In 1978, he graduated from the law faculty of Lviv State University named after Ivan Franko.

Career in Arbitration

Bodnarchuk's professional journey began in 1978 when he joined Ivano-Frankivsky oblpotrebsoyuza as an arbitrator and later rose to the position of senior arbitrator. From 1980 to 1986, he served as a senior legal adviser in the legal department of Centrosoyuz USSR.

Leadership in State Arbitration

In 1986, Bodnarchuk entered the State Arbitration of the USSR, holding various leadership roles. He became deputy head of the Organization Department, deputy head of the department for supervision and generalization of arbitration practice, and state arbitrator.

Appointment to the Supreme Arbitration Court

In 1991, Bodnarchuk was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the USSR. The following year, he became a judge of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, where he played a vital role as the Chairman of the 4th Judicial Chamber from 1995 onwards. The 4th Judicial Chamber adjudicated disputes arising from administrative and other public legal relations.

Recognition and Honors

Throughout his distinguished career, Bodnarchuk has been recognized for his contributions to the legal field. He holds the honorary title of Merited Lawyer of the Russian Federation. He has also been awarded the Medal "In Commemoration of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow" and the Medal "For Services to the Judicial System of the Russian Federation" (II degree).
