Early Life and Education

Mika, a British pop singer and poet-songwriter, was born on August 18, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon. As a child, Mika received vocal training from the Russian opera singer Alla Ardakova. He later attended the Royal College of Music in London, where he honed his musical skills.

Breakthrough and Career

Mika's debut performance took place on BBC2's show hosted by Dermot O'Leary in September 2006. This led to further appearances on Jools Holland's "Later" and the "Friday Night Project" in January 2007. His vocal range, rumored to span five octaves, has been a subject of admiration, although he claims to reach a maximum of three and a half octaves.

In 2006, Mika released his first single, "Relax, Take it Easy," which gained popularity on BBC Radio 1 and was named "Record of the Week" by popular DJ Scott Mills.
