Early Career and BreakthroughMike Jensen, a Danish footballer, was born and raised in Denmark, where he began his football journey. He honed his skills at the renowned Brondby academy, graduating to the club's senior team in 2006. Jensen spent eight seasons with Brondby, making a significant impact on the team.
Loan to Malmo and Individual Honors
In 2008, Jensen embarked on a six-month loan spell at Swedish club Malmo. During his time there, he showcased his talent and helped Malmo achieve success. Upon returning to Brondby, Jensen was recognized for his exceptional contributions to the sport by being awarded the Danish Under-19 Player of the Year award in 2006.
Move to Rosenborg and Captaincy
In February 2013, Jensen took a significant step in his career by signing a long-term contract with Norwegian club Rosenborg. He made an immediate impact, scoring the winning goal in his debut match against Odd Grenland. Jensen's leadership qualities soon emerged, and he assumed the role of vice-captain in 2015. However, due to an injury to regular captain Tore Reginiussen, Jensen has often led Rosenborg out onto the pitch as the captain.
International Career
Between 2008 and 2011, Jensen represented Denmark at the youth international level, playing in 27 official matches. His impressive performances earned him a call-up to the senior Denmark national team in August 2010, making his debut in a match against Turkey.
