Mike Vogel, an American actor, was born in 1979 in Abington, Pennsylvania and grew up in Warminster. His surname translates from German to mean "bird."
Early Career
Vogel's public appearances began as a model for 'Levi's' while he was still in high school at William Tennent High School. Determined to become an actor, Vogel regularly traveled to New York for auditions and castings. In 2003, his perseverance paid off when he landed the lead role in Casey La Scala's sports comedy "Grind." The film, with its exciting tricks, humor, and great music, caught the attention of a young audience.
Breakthrough Roles
In the same year, Vogel appeared in several other films, including Suraj Krishnamma's teleplay "Wuthering Heights," episodes of various TV series, and the cult horror film "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Notable Roles
One of Vogel's best-known roles to date is the character Jason in Matt Reeves' science fiction film "Cloverfield." Released in 2008, the film grossed over $170 million and received positive reviews. Personal Life
Vogel married model Courtney Vogel in 2003. Their wedding took place in the same church where Vogel's parents were married. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Cassy Renee Vogel, in 2007, and their second daughter, Charlie, in June 2009. In addition to acting, Vogel is passionate about cars and is a dog lover, with two beloved pugs residing in his home.
