Early Career
Ivica Dudić, a Serbian professional footballer, began his career in the lower leagues of Serbia, playing for four different clubs. In 2001, he joined FK Čukarički, where his impressive performances gradually earned him a starting role.
Rise to Prominence with Red Star Belgrade
In the 2001/02 season, Dudić made the leap to one of Yugoslavia's most prestigious clubs, Red Star Belgrade. Initially a fringe player, he became a cornerstone of the defense over the next five seasons, featuring prominently in their two league title wins and two cup triumphs.
Departure to Austria and International Debut
In 2006, Dudić moved to Red Bull Salzburg, one of Austria's top teams. He won the Austrian Bundesliga twice during his time there. Dudić represented the national team of Serbia and Montenegro from 2001 to 2006, making 13 appearances but failing to score.
World Cup Disappointment and Retirement from International Football
Dudić played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, which ended in disappointment for his team. Despite playing in two of the three matches and putting in a strong performance, he conceded two penalties against the Ivory Coast due to handling errors. After the World Cup, he was no longer called up to the national team.
