Biography of Miles Flint
Miles Flint, the former president of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB, led the company from 2004 to 2007. He was born in 1953 in the United Kingdom. Flint graduated from the University of London and also holds an MBA degree from Cranfield University. He started his career in the telecommunications industry as a marketing manager.

In 1991, Flint joined Sony Broadcast & Communications UK as the finance director. He then became the regional director for Europe and the UK in 1993 and deputy finance director in 1996. From 1998, he served as the president of Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe. In 2001, Flint became the finance director of Sony United Kingdom and in 2002, he was appointed as the president of Sony Business Europe.

Flint's association with Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications began in June 2004 when he joined as the president. The joint venture between Sony and the Swedish company Ericsson proved to be pivotal for both companies as Sony had struggled to establish a strong presence in the mobile phone market. Under Flint's leadership, Sony Ericsson quickly emerged as one of the top five mobile phone manufacturers.
Flint remained at the helm of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB until 2007 when he officially announced his departure to pursue new personal and business opportunities.
In terms of his personal life, Miles Flint resides in London and is married with two children. Besides his professional endeavors, he has a keen interest in sailing and photography. According to his LinkedIn profile, Flint currently works at Silver Lake and previously served as the chairman of Skype Group Sarl.
