Miles Kane is an English musician, former frontman of 'The Rascals' and one of the leaders of the band 'The Last Shadow Puppets', which he formed together with the legend of English indie rock, Alex Turner. Currently, Miles combines playing with 'The Last Shadow Puppets' with his solo music career. Over the years in the English indie rock scene, Miles has become one of the fans' favorites, who equally appreciate his solo work and his work with the band. While gaining the most fame with 'The Last Shadow Puppets', the musician now spends most of his time writing his own songs, which, however, often resemble the sound of the early and most beloved albums of the band. Interestingly, the English audience has not only recognized Miles' musical talents - in 2009, he was nominated for the title of 'Sexiest Musician', but the award was given to Matthew Bellamy, the vocalist and leader of the band 'Muse', according to the jury's decision.

Early Life and Career

Miles Kane was born on March 17, 1986, near Liverpool, United Kingdom. However, he spent most of his childhood in the city of Meols. He began playing the saxophone in school but soon became interested in the guitar, which was given to him as a birthday present. From a young age, Miles had a noticeable drive to constantly develop himself, which, as the musician admitted, often let him down - he always felt that he should practice more, train more, in order to finally become the best, but he could never fully enjoy achieving this ideal.

When Miles was 18 years old, he became the guitarist for the band 'The Little Flames'. Just a few months later, the band signed a contract with the label 'Deltasonic', where the young musicians got acquainted with bands such as 'The Coral' and 'Arctic Monkeys', and soon went on tour with them. Thanks to their friendship with leading British bands, 'The Little Flames' became popular, but more importantly, during the tour, Miles unexpectedly became friends with Alex Turner, the leader of 'Arctic Monkeys'. Their musical tastes coincided so closely that, without much thought, the musicians decided to form their own band that would allow them to create music from the heart. This is how the band 'The Last Shadow Puppets' was born, which started as a side project but turned into one of the brightest sensations on the English rock scene. At the same time, Kane formed the band 'The Rascals', in which he took on the roles of vocalist and guitarist. The band gained popularity, but their somewhat experimental and darker sound did not appeal to all indie rock fans. Nevertheless, the band recorded the album 'Rascalize' and also appeared in the film 'Awaydays'.

The Last Shadow Puppets and Solo Career

The project 'The Last Shadow Puppets' was much more successful from its inception. By that time, both musicians had experience playing in bands and had a clear vision of the sound they wanted to achieve. Inspired by the same musicians, the guys wrote the lyrics and music for their first songs in just a few days. Their debut album 'The Age of the Understatement' was recorded in the winter of 2008 in France and took only two weeks to complete. In April, the album was released and became available for download on several internet services. Soon, the album reached the top of the UK Album Charts, and the band was nominated for the prestigious 'Mercury Music Prize'.

In early 2009, after finishing work with 'The Rascals', Miles decided to start his solo career and revive the sound of 1960s rock, which is now considered classic. His first studio album, 'Colour of the Trap', was released in 2011 and was highly praised by critics and fans alike. The album's popularity was also boosted by the participation of Alex Turner and Noel Gallagher, the leader of 'Oasis', in its recording. In early June 2013, Kane released his second album, titled 'Don't Forget Who You Are', which debuted at number 8 on the UK album charts. Currently, the musician is fully immersed in his work, often touring the country and Europe, frequently collaborating with other musicians and bands.
