Biography of Milos Raonic
Milos Raonic is a Canadian professional tennis player. He was born in Titograd, Yugoslavia (now Podgorica, Montenegro) to engineer parents Dusan and Vesna Raonic. At the age of three, Milos and his family immigrated to Canada.
Early Years and Tennis Career
Milos started playing tennis at the age of eight. His father would take him to practice early in the morning or late in the evening, when court rentals were cheaper. Milos idolized Pete Sampras and would record all of his matches on video, aspiring to be like him.
In 2007, Milos Raonic was invited to the National Training Center of the Tennis Federation of Canada in Montreal. That same year, he began competing in professional tournaments. His best result in 2007 was reaching the semifinals of the ITF Futures tournament in Canada in doubles with his partner Frederik Nielsen.
In March 2008, he won his first Futures title in doubles, and two weeks later, he reached his first singles final. In November 2008, he won his first Challenger title in doubles with Vasek Pospisil, defeating opponents ranked much higher than him.

After qualifying for the main draw, he defeated three top 100 players, including 24th-ranked Mikhail Youzhny and 10th-ranked Mikhail Llodra, before losing to David Ferrer in the fourth round.
