Milun Tesovic was born in Bosnia in 1985 amid the ethnic wars that plagued Yugoslavia at the time. His family was forced to separate, with his father remaining in Bosnia, his mother and him moving to Serbia, and his sister going to Montenegro.
Immigrating to Canada
In 1995, the family reunited and immigrated to Canada. It was here that Tesovic developed an interest in technology and began creating his own projects.

Tesovic earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Simon Fraser University. At age 15, he set out to buy a used car, which sparked the idea of creating a website around automotive.
Spotting an Opportunity
Realizing there was a lack of online resources for lyrics, Tesovic started working on Metrolyrics.com in 2002. He noticed that the demand for lyrics was high, and the site gained popularity rapidly.
Business Savvy
Tesovic monetized the site through advertising and downloads, generating a significant revenue stream and transforming his hobby into a business. By 2007, at the age of 21, he had reached a million-dollar turnover.

Metrolyrics.com maintained legal compliance by respecting copyrights. The site's database grew to over 2 million lyrics, and its staff expanded to 20 employees. The website also surpassed 50 million monthly users.
