When Miranda was ten years old, her family moved to Gosford, a city closer to the capital. She attended a boarding school at a monastery and developed a passion for classical music. However, when her family relocated to Sydney, Miranda had the opportunity to explore computer technology and programming, inspired by her older sister Wendy, who became the first female programmer in the Southern Hemisphere. Despite her interest, Miranda's professional career in technology did not materialize as she got married.
Writing Career
After starting a family and buying a farm where they raised horses, goats, and trained greyhounds, Miranda realized they needed additional income. Inspired by her successful sister Wendy and her husband Frank Brennan, who wrote romantic stories under the pen name 'Emma Darcy', Miranda decided to try her hand at writing.
