Biography of Mirdza Martinsone
Early Life and EducationMirdza Martinsone is a Soviet and Latvian actress of theater and cinema. She studied at the People's Studio of Film Actors in 1971 and later enrolled in the Theater Department of the Latvian State Conservatory named after J. Vitols. She completed her studies in 1974 and became an actress at the Riga Art Academic Theater named after J. Rainis (now the Dailes Theater), where she continues to perform on stage to this day.
Career
Mirdza Martinsone made her film debut in 1970, playing a minor role in the movie "Shoot Instead of Me" directed by Janis Streics. However, it was her role as Ginny Gordon in the film "Mirage" in 1983, based on the novel "The World in My Pocket" by James Hadley Chase, that brought her popularity.
Personal Life
Mirdza Martinsone was previously married to Latvian actor Martin Verdinsh (Junior) and they have two children together. Their daughter, Madara Martinsone, was born in 1978, and their son, Martinis Mātiss Verdinsh, was born in 1989.
