Biography of Miroslava Kotorovich

Miroslava Kotorovich is a Ukrainian violinist who received her education at the N.V. Lysenko Kyiv Specialized Music School, studying under P. Bondas and Ya. Rivnyak. She later attended the National Music Academy of Ukraine under the tutelage of her father. Kotorovich also participated in masterclasses with Marina Yashvili, Ruggero Ricci, and Thomas Zehetmair.

Accomplishments

Kotorovich achieved the Grand Prix at the international competition "Golden Autumn" in Khmelnytskyi and became a scholarship recipient of the "Mozart Academy" in Krakow. In 1993, she became a soloist of the ensemble "Kyiv Kamertata" and participated in the recording of composer E. Stankovich's album. Since 1998, Kotorovich has been performing as a member of Gidon Kremer's chamber orchestra "Kremerata Baltica" and has toured extensively in many countries.

Ensembles and Positions

In 2001, Kotorovich began performing as a member of the ensemble "Kyiv Soloists" and became the concertmaster in 2003. In 2006, she was appointed as the deputy artistic director of the ensemble. Kotorovich has also established herself as an author of a series of musical-theatrical projects in the genre of musical novella, including "The Role for Violin," "Creation," "Violin Caprices," "Steps," "Necklace of Childhood Dreams," and others. In 2000, one of her projects was adapted into a film as part of the TV series "Variations on a Theme," and the project "Creation" was realized in a solo CD album of the same name.

Britten Festival and Collaborations

In 2004, Kotorovich actively participated in the preparation and implementation of the international Britten Festival in Kyiv. Together with Ukrainian director V. Vovkun, she worked on the concert-theatrical version of "War Requiem."
