Standing on the edge of the bridge, Roslan held Mecca in his arms as they prepared for their descent. Without a helmet, the pair plunged into the abyss, swinging high above the rocky gorge in Kuala Kuba Bharu. Their cries echoed through the air as onlookers watched in disbelief.
Safety Concerns
Mohd Shafiq Azmi, the safety officer present at the site, defended the jump, stating that the equipment was thoroughly checked and met international safety standards. However, human rights lawyer, Andrew Khoo, condemned the act, deeming it a gross negligence of safety regulations.

The video garnered widespread condemnation on social media, with users accusing Roslan of endangering his daughter's life. Over 3500 people shared the clip, which was viewed by more than 300,000 individuals.
Father's Response
Roslan took to social media to defend his actions, claiming that Mecca had willingly participated in the stunt. He emphasized that his daughter was not in any danger, despite the alarming appearance of the video. "Relax, guys," he pleaded. "Mekka Mikaela wanted to jump together with me. It wasn't forced."
Legal Implications
Child protection advocates, like Goh Siu Lin, denounced the parents' decision, calling it "gross negligence of parental duty." Bungee jumping from extreme heights poses significant risks of physical injury, she argued, adding that she had never encountered a case where a child of such a young age was permitted to engage in such a dangerous activity.
