Early Life and EducationArtak Davtyan, an Armenian political and statesman, was born in Armenia. In 1985, he graduated from the Moscow Cooperative Institute as a commodity scientist.
Military Service and Professional Career
From 1975 to 1977, Davtyan served in the army. Following his military service, he worked at the Abovyan Raikoop from 1985 to 1992, holding various positions, including senior commodity scientist, head of the trade department, and director of the trade center.
Political Career
Association and Party AffiliationsSince 1993, Davtyan has been the chairman of the "Kotayk" association. In 2002, he became the chairman of the trading company "Milta" LLC.
Parliamentary Service
Davtyan served as a member of the parliament from 2003 to 2007. During his tenure, he was a member of the Standing Committee on Social Issues, Health, and Nature Protection. He was also a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
On May 12, 2007, Davtyan was re-elected to parliament. He served on the Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs. During this time, he switched his party affiliation to the Prosperous Armenia Party.
