Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, the mezzo-soprano began her musical journey at the Tbilisi Conservatory, where she graduated from the vocal faculty in 1992. She later pursued further vocal studies at the Accademia di Imola in Italy under the guidance of Maestro Maurizio Melani.

Professional Debut and Accolades

In 1991, the singer made her debut as a soloist at the Z. Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Theater in Tbilisi. She performed notable roles such as Eboli in Verdi's "Don Carlos," Azucena in Verdi's "Il Trovatore," and Maddalena in Verdi's "Rigoletto."

Rise to Prominence

Her exceptional talent led her to the prestigious Mariinsky Theater in 1996, where she made her debut as Carmen in Bizet's "Carmen." Throughout her career, she has garnered recognition through various international competitions, including first place at the Julio Gayarre International Vocal Competition in Spain (1994), fourth place at the Elena Obraztsova International Competition for Young Singers in St. Petersburg (1999), and a diploma at the "Belvedere" Competition.
