MTV and Television Career

In 1999, Naufisa served as a judge on MTV India's project "VJ Hunt." Just a week after the project, she was invited for auditions and offered a position as a host in a new show on the channel. Naufisa Joseph remained as the host of the project "MTV House Full" for almost 5 years. She also participated in other television projects, such as the TV series "C.A.T.S.," an Indian version of "Charlie's Angels." In 2004, Naufisa became the host of the show "Style on Star World." Around the same time, she worked with her fiance Gautam Khanduja on the launch of the television project "2's Company." Animal Rights Activism and Tragic End

Despite her busy career in modeling and television, Naufisa Joseph was actively involved in animal rights activism. She collaborated with organizations such as "Welfare of Stray Dogs," "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals," and "People for Animals." In the Bangalore version of "Times of India," she had her own column titled "Nafisa for Animals." Tragically, on July 29, 2004, Naufisa Joseph took her own life in her apartment in Versova. It is known that she was supposed to get married to Gautam Khanduja in a few weeks, and rumors suggest that the cancellation of the wedding pushed her towards such a drastic step. Apparently, Naufisa discovered shortly before the wedding that her prospective husband had not yet divorced his previous wife, despite his assurances. Khanduja refused to comment on the situation or provide evidence of divorce to the press. Later, Naufisa's parents filed a lawsuit against Khanduja, but the courts failed to prove his direct involvement in the tragedy. The legal proceedings continued from November 2005 to January 2006 and ended without any conclusive outcome.
