Biography of Nancy Dolman
Nancy Dolman was born in 1951 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Unlike most children, Nancy was never shy about spending time with her brother, Bob Dolman, and they remained not just relatives but also best friends throughout their lives. Nancy's acting talent was noticed when she was just starting school – she excelled at imitating other children and teachers, although no one at the time could have predicted her global fame.

Early Career
In the early 1970s, Dolman made her debut on the big stage with the rock production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar.' This play became so popular that the entire troupe soon embarked on a tour, performing on the main stages of Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

At the same time, Nancy enrolled at the University of Western Ontario, where she studied psychology for several years. While pursuing her studies, she continued to perform in the theatre. It was during the premiere of the play 'Godspell' in Toronto in 1972 that Nancy met her future husband, Martin Short, who was also part of the acting troupe.

Family and Personal Life
In 1981, Nancy's brother married her friend and colleague, Andrea Martin. Nancy expressed that she had never been happier than on her brother's wedding day. Just a year later, the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Jack. Shortly after, Martin proposed to Nancy, and they got married just a couple of weeks later.

Nancy occasionally shared the stage with her husband, even once performing in his clothing for half an hour before the audience began to suspect the switch. In 1985, Nancy already had one child, and she was pregnant again. Meanwhile, her husband's popularity continued to grow, which ultimately led Nancy to step away from show business that same year.
Dolman became a mother of three children and a loving wife for over 20 years. In her last years, the actress lived in a country cottage in Ontario, enjoying nature and the company of friends, including renowned director Steven Spielberg and actors Tom Hanks and Kurt Russell.
Illness and Passing
In 2007, Nancy was diagnosed with cancer, and any attempts at surgical intervention proved futile. On August 21, 2010, Nancy Dolman passed away in a hospital in California. The true cause of her death is known only to her family, although shortly after her passing, a newspaper reported that she died of natural causes.
