Early Life and Family
Nasiba Zeynalova was born on April 20, 1916, in Baku, Azerbaijan, to a wealthy merchant and amateur actor named Jangiyar Zeynalov. Prior to the March 1918 massacre, Zeynalova's family fled to Iran to escape violence perpetrated by Bolshevik and Armenian "Dashnaktsutyun" forces against the Azerbaijani population. Her father tragically passed away on their return voyage in September 1918.
Theatrical Beginnings
As a young girl, Zeynalova pursued dance lessons. In 1932, she joined the drama club of Rza Takhmasib. In 1937, she toured Azerbaijani cities with a traveling theater troupe. On April 4, 1938, Zeynalova was hired as a first-category actress at the Azerbaijan State Theater of Musical Comedy. Simultaneously, she enrolled in the acting faculty of the theater technical school, graduating in 1942.
Film and Television Career
Throughout her career, Nasiba Zeynalova starred in 22 films, performed in approximately 70 theatrical productions, and participated in numerous television shows. Her most celebrated roles include:

Recognition and Honors
In 1960, Zeynalova was bestowed with the title of Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1967, she was elevated to the rank of People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. In 1974, she was awarded the Azerbaijan State Prize.
Later Years and Legacy
After dedicating over six decades of her life to the Azerbaijani stage, Nasiba Zeynalova passed away on March 10, 2004, at the age of 87. She left behind a remarkable legacy as one of Azerbaijan's most beloved actresses and is fondly remembered as the "Golden Lady of Soviet Cinema." Her son, Jangiyr Novruzov, also pursued a career in acting.
