Nastasia Noens: French Slalom Specialist
Early Career and DebutFrench alpine skier Nastasia Noens made her international debut in December 2003. She specialized in slalom and debuted in the World Cup circuit on November 11, 2006, in Levi, Finland. In her first race, she finished 26th, earning her first World Cup points.
Junior World Championships and Olympic Experience
In 2008, Noens claimed a bronze medal in the special slalom at the World Junior Championships in Spain. During the 2009/10 Olympic season, she broke into the World Cup top 10 for the first time with an eighth-place finish in Flachau, Austria. At the Vancouver Olympics, she competed in the slalom only and finished 29th.
World Cup Podiums and Olympic Seventh-Place Finish
In the 2010/2011 season, Noens returned to Flachau and secured a podium finish for the first time in her career, placing third. She earned her second career podium just weeks before the Sochi Games, finishing third in the slalom in Bormio, Italy. At the Olympics, Noens placed seventh despite being in fifth position after the first run.
World Championships and Retirement
Throughout her career, Noens competed in four World Championships (2009-2015). Her best result was two ninth-place finishes, achieved in 2011 and 2015. She retired from competitive skiing in 2016.
