Early Life and Education

Natalia Nikolaevna Meshkova was born in 1944. She pursued her interests in science by completing a degree in biology from Moscow State University (MSU) in 1968. Not long after, she earned a second degree in psychology from MSU.

Academic Career

Researcher and Professor

In 1977, Meshkova joined the first-ever Laboratory of Zoopsychology at MSU, founded by Professor K.E. Fabri. As a member of the faculty, she earned her Candidate of Psychological Sciences degree (equivalent to a PhD) in 1983 and became a Senior Researcher in 1991. She was recognized as a Distinguished Researcher at MSU in 2004.

Meshkova's research spanned various aspects of zoopsychology, including fundamental and applied studies. She became a leading member of the Department of General Psychology and a prominent figure in the field.

Director of the Zoopsychology Laboratory

Following Professor Fabri's passing, Meshkova became the Director of the Zoopsychology Laboratory. She continued to advance the laboratory's mission, conducting groundbreaking research and fostering a vibrant academic environment.
