Biography of Natalia Romanycheva
Natalia Romanycheva was born in Simferopol, Crimea. From a young age, she had a passion for dancing and attended ballet school. Her love for the stage was awakened when she joined a children's theater studio, and she described it as a turning point in her life. She then moved from Simferopol to Sevastopol to prepare for her admission to the theater university. She was accepted into the School-Studio (University) at the Crimean State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Gorky.
Acting Career
After receiving her acting diploma in 2004, Natalia Romanycheva joined the troupe of the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky. She played various roles in productions such as "The Bourgeoisie in the Nobility" (Nikolay's servant), "Talents and Admirers" (Alexandra Nikolaevna Negina), "Carmen" (Carmen), "Don Juan" (Donna Anna), "Dear Pamela" (Gloria Gulok), "The Cunning Lover" (Phoenissa), "Love Round Dance" (Leokadia), "Lady for a Day" (Louisa), "Factory Girl" (Nadyusha), "Family Idyll" (Victoria Nikolaevna), "Everything in the Garden" (Jenny), "Othello" (Bianca), and "The Dove" (Victoria).
Natalia made her first appearance on screen in 2000, with a small role in the adventure comedy "Two Comrades". Over the next decade, she appeared in Russian and Ukrainian films of various genres (action, melodrama, comedy), mostly in supporting and episodic roles. These films did not bring her much fame or success.
Everything changed in 2010 when Natalia Romanycheva was cast in the lead role in the crime film "Stranger" directed by Anton Bormatov. Her appearance, undeniable dramatic talent, and lack of previous roles in numerous TV series were considered the main factors that contributed to her casting. The film was set in the turbulent 90s, where a group of criminals was tasked with finding Angela, Babay's sister. Initially, Natalia was skeptical of the script, as it was another action-packed crime story. However, she became engrossed in her work and approached her character creatively, portraying Angela not just as a heartless villain, but as a woman forced to adapt to her circumstances.
The film "Stranger" received an enthusiastic response from viewers, who praised its authentic atmosphere of the 90s, well-selected soundtrack, dynamic plot, and strong cast. Natalia Romanycheva, who became the highlight of the film, gained recognition and acclaim. This role marked her first major success. Subsequently, she starred as Tatiana Semenova in the 64-episode melodramatic series "Girls' Hunt" in 2011. In 2012, she appeared in the outstanding detective series "Dragon Syndrome" as special agent Christina, a confident Baltic girl. Despite the star-studded cast, Natalia Romanycheva managed to captivate millions of viewers with her velvety voice, charm, and beauty.
