Henrieta Farkašová: A Paralympic Skiing Legend
Early Life and CareerHenrieta Farkašová, a Slovakian Paralympic skier, was born and raised in Martin, Slovakia. She graduated from high school in her hometown and went on to pursue a degree in International Relations at Matej Bel University.
Farkašová began her professional skiing career in 2010 as a guide for Paralympic skier Henryeta Farkašová. Together, they achieved remarkable success at the Winter Paralympics, winning three gold and one silver medal in Vancouver.
Paralympic Dominance
At the Sochi Paralympics, Farkašová continued her winning streak, claiming three medals: two gold and one bronze. Her exceptional performance culminated in an impressive five medals (four gold and one silver) at the Vancouver Paralympics.
Personal Life and Interests
Farkašová is a devoted family person with an older sister and a younger brother. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is currently studying French and German at university. Besides skiing, she enjoys reading books and exploring the world through travel.
