Upon graduating, Wolf became the personal physician to Bishop Teodor Kazimierz Czartoryski of Poznań. He held this position until the bishop's death in 1768. Subsequently, Wolf established a private practice in Tczew in 1769 and later moved to Danzig (now Gdańsk) in 1772, where he remained for the rest of his life.
