Navia Robinson, born Navia Ziraili Robinson on May 4, 2005, is an American actress and musician. Growing up in Marietta, Georgia, with her parents Jeffrey and Gina Robinson and brothers Maz and Gian, she exhibited exceptional imagination from a young age. Her parents encouraged her artistic pursuits, and by age six, she worked with fashion publications and won The Shine Event in Orlando as a top child model in 2011. This achievement led to her signing with Generation Model Management and paved the way for her entertainment career.

Acting Debut and Breakthrough

Robinson's acting aspirations began taking shape in 2014 when she landed a recurring role as D'Asia, the niece of the titular protagonist, in the critically acclaimed drama series "Being Mary Jane." The show garnered high ratings and numerous accolades, exposing Robinson to seasoned actors such as Gabrielle Union, Margaret Avery, Richard Brooks, and Aaron D. Spears. In 2017, she made an appearance in Season 8, Episode 12 of "The Vampire Diaries," starring alongside Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder.
