Neal E. Boyd, an American pop-opera singer, was born in 1975 in Sikeston, Missouri, USA. Despite showing no particular interest in music during his childhood, everything changed for Neal when his brother was assigned a project on the Three Tenors as part of a classical music course. Fascinated by the talent and artistry of Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, and Luciano Pavarotti, Neal began imitating their singing style. He quickly realized his passion for vocal performance and decided to dedicate his time to studying voice.

Neal enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University and later at the University of Missouri, where he studied speech communication, political science, and vocal performance. In 2001, he graduated from both universities and received an award from the Music Teachers National Association. This victory led to his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City in March 2001.

Following a year of music education in Sikeston, Neal continued his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He made his opera debut in the production of "Corps of Discovery, A Musical Journey." Neal holds a bachelor's degree in speech communication and music, as well as a master's degree in management from the University of Phoenix. He initially planned to pursue further studies at Yale University but changed his plans when he decided to study at the conservatory in Boston.

In 2000, Neal sang at the memorial service of Missouri Governor Mel Carnahan, who died in a plane crash. In 2005, he performed the national anthem at the inauguration of Missouri Governor Matt Blunt. However, Neal's greatest musical triumph came in 2008 when he won the national competition "America's Got Talent," earning him 1 million dollars and his own show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This victory brought him national recognition. In the summer of 2009, Neal signed a contract with Decca Records and released his solo album titled "My American Dream." The album reached the Billboard 200 chart and reached the 3rd position on the Top Classical Albums chart.

On March 10, 2010, Neal performed for President Barack Obama, who was visiting Missouri. Throughout his career, he has also had the opportunity to perform for former U.S. Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
