Early Life and EducationNell Pinkford Free, better known as Nell Tiger Free, was born on October 13, 1999, in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England. Her mother's nickname "Tiger" during her pregnancy later became her middle name. Growing up in a family of a yoga teacher and a recruitment specialist alongside her older sister, Betsy, Nell exhibited a diverse ethnic background, with Irish, English, Scottish, and Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry.
She attended Teddington School and Hampton Court House School, where her passion for acting blossomed. However, her early talent also faced adversity when she was dismissed from a school musical and criticized for wearing a short skirt by a teacher.
Film and Television Career
Nell Tiger Free made her cinematic debut at the young age of 13 in Rufus Norris' romantic drama "Broken" (2012), earning positive reviews for her portrayal of Anna. The same year, she starred in the BBC film "Mr. Stink" (2012), which garnered a BAFTA Award nomination.
Her breakthrough role came in HBO's acclaimed fantasy series "Game of Thrones" (2015-2016), where she replaced Amy Richardson as the young Myrcella Baratheon. The character's tragic death in Season 6 sparked controversy due to its graphic nature, which Nell revealed was initially intended to be even more gruesome.
She continued to showcase her versatility in "Too Old to Die Young" (2019) opposite Miles Teller and as the enigmatic nanny Lynn Grayson in Apple TV+'s "Servant" (2019-2023). In the latter series, she worked alongside M. Night Shyamalan and a cast including Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, and Rupert Grint.
In 2021, Nell Tiger Free starred in the science-fiction thriller "Extinct" (also known as "Settlers"), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Personal Life
Nell Tiger Free is open about her personal life on social media, including her past relationship with her "Game of Thrones" co-star Dean-Charles Chapman. She is currently in a romantic relationship with Isaac Carey.
Outside of acting, Nell Tiger Free enjoys creating music. She has released several music videos on her Instagram page, where she sings and plays guitar.

On January 13, 2023, the fourth and final season of "Servant" premiered on Apple TV+. Nell Tiger Free also has upcoming roles in the films "Fall In Darkness," "Wonderwell," and "The First Omen," a prequel to Richard Donner's classic horror film "The Omen" (1976).
