Sally Field is an actress who has maintained her energy and talent throughout her career. She was born in Pasadena, California. Her father was in the military and her mother was an actress. Her parents divorced in 1950 and her mother later remarried a stuntman.

Field's first major success came from her role as a surfer girl in the sitcom "Gidget". Although the series was initially unsuccessful and quickly canceled, it gained popularity in reruns. She then starred in the series "The Flying Nun" for three years, although she was not particularly fond of that role.

In 1976, Field had her breakthrough role in the film "Sybil", for which she won an Emmy award. This role helped elevate her career and led to more interesting opportunities. Field had a long-term romantic relationship with actor Burt Reynolds. She was married to Steven Craig from 1968 to 1975, with whom she had two children. In 1984, she married film producer Alan Greisman, and they had one child before divorcing in 1993.
