Nicholas Bullen: A Musical Journey

Nicholas Bullen is a musician best known for his contributions to the extreme metal bands Napalm Death and Scorn.

Early Influences and Napalm Death

From a young age, Nicholas developed a love for punk rock music. In 1981, he co-founded Napalm Death with Miles Ratledge. The band's early sound was influenced by punk, and their tracks were released on the Bullshit Detector compilations by Crass Records.

Joining Napalm Death

In 1985, Nicholas met Justin Broadrick, the guitarist of Final. Broadrick subsequently joined Napalm Death, contributing to the group's evolving sound. In 1987, after participating in the recording of Napalm Death's debut album, Scum, Nicholas left the band.

Scorn and Legal Troubles

In 1991, Nicholas joined Scorn, a project formed by Napalm Death's former drummer Mick Harris. He remained with the group until 1995 when internal conflicts escalated into legal proceedings. As a result, Nicholas was forced to depart from Scorn.
