Born in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, Nicholas Christopher Herbert, known professionally as Nicholas Lea, is a Canadian actor best known for his role in the television series "The X-Files". He adopted the pseudonym Lea as there was already an actor with the surname Schreder registered in the actor's guild.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Nicholas Lea was the youngest of three children in his family, with an older brother and sister. He had no previous involvement in acting until the age of 25. Before pursuing acting, Lea worked as a clothing salesman and was a soloist in an orchestra called "Beau Monde". He honed his acting skills at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, Charles Conrad Studios, and Gastown Actor Studio. In 1994, he fully dedicated himself to film and television.
