Biography of Nicole Schott
Nicole Schott is a German figure skater who has achieved great success in her career. Born in 1996 in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, she began her journey in figure skating from a young age.
Early Career
In 2010, Nicole made her debut in international junior competitions. Later that year, she participated in the German Championships for the first time and was subsequently selected to represent Germany at the Junior World Championships in Kangnung, South Korea. She impressed everyone by reaching the final stage of the championship and finished within the top thirty.
Rise to Success
The following year, Nicole sensationally won the German Championships, marking her first participation in adult international competitions. In the autumn of 2013, she competed in the junior stage of the Grand Prix for the first time. She continued to participate in various competitions, including the Junior Grand Prix in Estonia and Slovenia, winning the Trophy of North Rhine-Westphalia in Dortmund, and becoming the German champion for the second time.
Continued Achievements
In early 2015, Nicole made her debut at the European Championships in Stockholm, finishing within the top ten and securing Germany's double quota in the women's event. She then competed in the World Championships in Shanghai, reaching the final stage of the competition.
Challenges and Triumphs
The next season proved to be more challenging for Nicole, as she had to settle for a bronze medal in the national championships. However, she persevered and continued to compete. In the pre-Olympic season, she participated in several competitions, including the Lombardia Trophy in Bergamo, Finlandia Trophy in Finland, and Trofeo de Patinaje Artístico in Warsaw, where she achieved remarkable success.
Road to the Olympics
In December, Nicole decided to skip the national championships but was selected to represent Germany at the European Championships in Ostrava. Although her performance in the Czech Republic was not her best, she finished within the top ten. In March, she competed in the World Championships in Helsinki, securing a spot in the top twenty and earning a qualification for the Olympic Games in South Korea.
Recent Career
Nicole began the new Olympic season with strong performances in the Cup of Nice and the Russian stage of the Grand Prix, where she improved her previous achievements. She continued to compete in various competitions, including the Challenger Series in Minsk and the French stage of the Grand Prix. In December, she once again became the German champion.
As of January 30, 2017, Nicole Schott is ranked 31st in the International Skating Union's rankings.
