Early Life and Education
Born in 1922, Vasiliy Petrovich began his career in 1938 as a carpenter in Moscow. He played a role in the construction of pavilions for the VDNKh (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy) and the renovation of the Lenin State Library and Kremlin buildings.
Military Service
During World War II, Vasiliy served as a military communication specialist. From Moscow to Berlin, he witnessed the horrors of war firsthand. His valor earned him the Order of Glory 3rd Class and the medals "For Courage," "For the Liberation of Warsaw," and "For the Capture of Berlin." However, he sustained severe injuries during the conflict.
Post-War Career in Agriculture
After the war, Vasiliy took on the role of equestrian brigade leader in the Stavropol region. His exceptional skills in horse breeding led to exceptional results, with 106 foals raised from 107 mares under his care. For this achievement, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1952.
In 1962, Vasiliy completed a dairy training program.
Later Years and PassingFrom 1971, Vasiliy spent over a decade as Deputy Director of the Kamensk-Shakhtinsky Dairy Plant. He also attended a two-year higher economic education program at the Rostov Institute of National Economy. Vasiliy passed away in 1990 in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky.
