Born in Snyatyn, Ukraine, on December 19, 1952, to a family of educators, Professor received his undergraduate degree with honors from the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers in 1976.
Academic and Professional Journey
At the same institution, he embarked on a distinguished academic career, rising through the ranks from graduate student and assistant to professor and head of department. His tenure as university provost from 2000-2002 culminated in his appointment as Rector of the National Transport University in 2003.

As Rector, Professor led the university's transformation into a premier institution of higher learning. He served on the commission drafting Ukraine's "Higher Education" law and the Concept for Distance Education, shaping the country's educational landscape.

His seminal work, "Elastohydrodynamics: Theory and Practice," has gained international acclaim. He has developed innovative methods to enhance machine wear resistance and reliability.
