Childhood and Education
Miron Kondratyevich Vayshlya was born in Georgia in the late 19th century. He attended the Tiflis Military Medical School and graduated in 1915.
Military Service
During World War I, Vayshlya served in the Russian army and was awarded the prestigious George Cross for bravery.
Political Career
Early ActivitiesIn 1917, Vayshlya joined the Communist Party and played an active role in the Bolshevik Revolution. He held various party positions in the Caucasus region from 1918 to 1927.
Central Asian and Caucasian Leadership
From 1927 to 1928, Vayshlya served as a member of the Central Asian Bureau of the Communist Party. He also held leadership positions in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, serving as Secretary of the Central Committee from 1929 to 1930.
Moscow and Belarus
In 1930, Vayshlya became a member of the Central Control Commission. From 1930 to 1931, he served as Deputy Head of the Organizational Distribution Department of the Communist Party. Subsequently, he became Secretary of the Moscow City and Regional Committee from 1931 to 1932. As the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus from 1932 to 1937, Vayshlya played a crucial role in the industrialization and modernization of the republic.
Rehabilitation and Legacy
In 1937, Vayshlya was arrested and executed during the Great Purge. He was posthumously rehabilitated in 1955, and his contributions to the Soviet state and party are recognized today.
